Kingsley was seen by Canine Sports/Working Orthopedic Veterinarian (say that 10 times fast!) Dr. Lotsikas today. The doctor told us he likes to hear the history, do his physical and any x-rays before he looks at the primary vets report, so that he doesn't go into it with a preconceived idea about what happened. He spent about 20 minutes listening to Kingsley's history, from the day he broke his toe, until today all the while petting and bonding with him.
He then did a full physical exam. At that point, Dr. Lotsikas noted that Kingsley was not baring any weight on his injured leg. You can literally move it back and his entire body posture doesn't change. On the contrary, when you lift his other back leg he must shift his weight drastically. In addition, he found a tender spot in his back over his spine.
The entire appointment was around 2 hours and we are waiting for his formal report which will have a thorough explanation of their findings and recommendations.
We loved CARES and recommend them for any specialty needs!

Kingsley's Birthday
He will be going to see an orthopedic specialist since he's limping on and off. I'll post updates as we get them!

Happy First Birthday, Sweet Boy.
Words cannot describe the love I have for Kingsley. I made this slideshow for his first year birthday.

Lap and Snuggle
Kingsley is quite the snuggler, but only when it comes to me. He's very in tune with me, never stands on my feet, and always remembers to come close enough for my limited range of motion.
